Overview
A modern roleplay chat where commands work with or without "/".
NS Chat replaces the default FiveM chat with a modern chat built for roleplay servers. Commands work with or without the leading "/", suggestions show players exactly what they can do, and separate channels keep out-of-character talk, job communication and staff chat organised.
Because NS Chat provides the standard chat resource, scripts that use the default chat events keep working without changes.
Features
- Commands with or without “/” – Players type commands either way; the input shows when a line is a command, and Ctrl+Enter sends it as a message instead.
- Command suggestions – Suggestions with parameter hints, completed with Tab. Players only see the commands they are allowed to use.
- Message history – Up and Down browse previously sent lines, saved per player.
- OOC global chat – A separate out-of-character channel that staff can turn on or off live, and players can hide.
- Job and admin chats – Job chats, job announcements and a staff-only admin chat, all set in the config.
- Character ID – /cid shows your character ID and copies it to the clipboard.
- Visibility options – Players choose whether the chat stays visible, fades or stays hidden.
- Discord logs – OOC, job chats, admin chat and announcements logged to Discord through ns-lib.
- Drop-in replacement – Replaces the default chat; scripts using the standard chat events keep working.
Works with
QBCore, Qbox and ESX through ns-lib. English and Hebrew texts included.
