Escrow errors
Fixes for the most common Cfx.re escrow and entitlement errors.
Our scripts are protected with Cfx.re escrow. These are the errors people run into most, and how to fix them.
“You lack the required entitlement”
Your server's license key belongs to a different Cfx.re account than the one that bought the script.
- Check which account owns the script at portal.cfx.re.
- Create a server key with that account in the portal and set it as
sv_licenseKeyin yourserver.cfg. - Restart the server.
Tip
If you bought with the wrong account by mistake, open a ticket on Discord with your Tebex transaction ID – don't buy again.
“Failed to verify protected resource”
The encrypted files were changed or damaged on the way to your server.
- Download the script again from the portal and replace the whole folder.
- If you upload with FTP, use binary transfer mode – text mode corrupts escrowed files.
- Only edit the files that are open (config, locales, bridges). Encrypted files can't be edited.
The script does not start at all
- Update your server artifacts to a recent recommended build – old artifacts can't load escrowed resources.
- Make sure the folder name was not changed and that
ensureuses the same name. - Start ns-lib before the script.
